The Department of Molecular Medicine (MOMA) at Aarhus University Hospital, offers the  ISO 15189 DANAK/ILAC accredited service IdentiCell for human cell line authentication.

Official Nordic Region Service Provider

We are Promega®'s official service provider for the Nordic Region using their Cell ID™ system. 

The Cell ID™ System enables short tandem repeat (STR) analysis of specific loci in the human genome through co-amplification and three-color detection of ten human loci (nine STR loci and amelogenin for gender identification).
These include D21S11, TH01, TPOX, vWA, amelogenin, CSF1PO, D16S539, D7S820, D13S317 and D5S818. These loci collectively provide a genetic profile with a random match probability of 1 in 2.92 × 10⁹.

Amplicons are detected with an ABI 3130xl Genetic Analyzer (ABI, St. Louis, MO), and GeneMapper software (ABI) is used to identify the alleles present for each STR locus in order to generate a genetic profile.
